Version 2 of the popular Mindful Check-In app is now released!


The Nan Tien Institute’s Humanistic Buddhism Centre designed this app especially for the busy lives we lead today and guides us through the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Each day we are confronted by hundreds of different challenges, settings and interactions. The Check-In App allows us to transit from one setting to another. Be it a different physical location or a different group of people, checking in gives us an opportunity to get the body and mind ready for each new setting ahead.

Choose to “check-in” for between 1 and 60 minutes.


Whether individually or in groups, this free app is available anywhere and any time.

Congratulations to the "Mindful Break" Program and the "Mindful Check In" App for its recent nomination at the NSW International Student Awards held at the Sydney Opera House. These initiatives were recognised in the category for NSW International Student Community Engagement 2016.


The "Mindful Break" program was developed by the education team at Nan Tien Institute (NTI) and provides students an opportunity for weekly guided mindfulness practice.  It incorporates the Mindful Check-In App which was created through a collaborative effort between NTI and BBEP volunteers in 2015-16.


The program was commended for "helping to support and enhance the international student experience, and foster closer engagement with the NSW community."


Congratulations to all NTI and BBEP volunteers for a fantastic effort and this well deserved recognition!
